Dry skin .

Remember that there is a difference between excess oil and vital moisture. If you do have oily skin, choose a lightweight moisturizer that is oil-free for the best results. If your skin is naturally on the dry side, you can choose a heavier moisturizer.

Cleansing products such as soap or body washes should be mild, and ideally include a moisturizer. Once you finish with your bath or shower, apply an overall body moisturizer immediately to help lock moisture into your skin. You should also try to shorten the amount of time you spend in the shower or bath, as this can also help to retain your skin's natural moisture.

In addition to a good moisturizer, you should also be using a good sunscreen. This is not only important in the summer, but also in the winter if you spend any amount of time outside. Not only will sunscreen products help keep your skin from drying out, but they will also protect your skin from potential damage from the sun.

During the winter months or in dry climates, it can also be helpful to use a humidifier in your bedroom at night. A humidifier will add extra moisture to the air, which will prevent the dry air from depleting the moisture in your skin.
